At Go West Conference & Event Management, we are committed to promoting sustainability in all aspects of our business operations, including the events and conferences we manage. We aim to minimize the environmental and social impact of events through sustainable practices. Our sustainability policy outlines our commitment and actions.
Go West has completed the Green for Micro mentoring program funded by Galway LEO, which helps small businesses become more sustainable. We have also obtained EcoMerit certification, an Irish third-party environmental management system certification.
To ensure sustainability in events, Go West has implemented a Green Event Policy. Our approach includes sustainable planning, venue selection, transportation, accommodation, food and catering, materials and waste management, event adaptation, vendors and contractors, education and outreach, monitoring and reporting, and carbon offsetting through the “Save A Sod” initiative.
We have developed a Sustainable Event Checklist as part of our Sustainable Event Policy, which has been adopted by various conferences, including dotMD and Food on the Edge.
By implementing these processes, we reduce our environmental impact, promote sustainable practices, and create a positive impact on the community.
